OUR MISSION

The bipartisan Congressional Soccer Caucus works with local and national advocates to support youth engagement in sports and promote soccer throughout the United States. In alignment with the Caucus’ mission, the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup 2025 and FIFA World Cup 2026 will provide the U.S. with a monumental opportunity to increase development in youth sports participation across our communities and allow children to be a part of a sports community that extends from coast to coast.

Washington, D.C. – On March 11, 2025, Congressman Darin LaHood (IL-16) joined Congressional Soccer Caucus Co-Chairs, Representatives Rick Larson (WA-02), Kathy Castor (FL-14), and Don Bacon (NE-02), in issuing the following statement supporting President Trump’s creation of a White House Task Force on the FIFA World Cup 2026.
